It is always something, the flu this time. Down for two weeks with the worst flu I ever had. Recovering from that was well worth it however when EAA691 Chap. President Jeff Scott flew down from Los Alamos in his J-3 Cub built from scratch and took me out flying. Thank you Jeff, great fun and a great way to start the year. Logged 0.8 hours KSAF to KSAF as I was allowed to take the controls and fly from the Santa Fe city limits to nearly Ghost Ranch and back again. Terrific orientation flight seeing Little Black Mesa, Big Black Mesa, Rio Grande River(with ice), Los Alamos, Espanola, Ghost Ranch and the majestic Sangre De Christos Mountains with snow as far as Taos.
Have been home with Hernia Surgery recovery, so my new EAA691 friends have been around. Will Fox Tech Counselor came around and gave N127PZ his once over. Thank you Will. I have made the rivet head gauge, but even with the new Harbor Freight arbor press good set rivets are avoiding me. Practice, Practice, Practice.
